The client wanted the upper breakfast bar turned into a more functional island; so we went to work: We cut the two columns down (they were not structural) and topped them with smooth white quartz. The homeowner wanted to leave the perimeter granite so we updated with the quartz on the main sink area to compliment the perimeter and installed new updated tile & glass. We also changed the light position to include all ceiling and patch work. Two custom-made supports for the large island completed the look.
